“By His divine power, He has lavished on us all the things we need for life and for true devotion, through the knowledge of Him who has called us by His own glory and goodness. The Sacraments are the great and priceless promises that Christ has given to the Church so that her members may share in His Divine Nature and escape the corruption rife in the world through disordered passion.
The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us that the sacraments are external signs of internal grace. There are seven sacraments, all of which are ministered by priests, who faithfully carry out the mission that Jesus gave His disciples.
