"As for Mary, she treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart" (Luke 2:19)

God is One, and from the very beginning, has revealed Himself as the unity of three Divine Persons.

In the beginning, God created heaven and earth. Now the earth was a formless void, and the Spirit hovered over the waters (Genesis 1:1-2).

In the above verse, we see the presence of the three Divine Persons - the First Person of the Most Holy Trinity, ‘the Father’ is in this verse called ‘God’, Who made heaven and earth. The Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity, 'the Son', is in this verse called ‘the Beginning’ (Colossians 1:18; Revelations 1:8). The Third Person of the Most Holy Trinity is called ‘The Spirit’.

The Son, the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity is also called by the Name, ‘The Word of God’.

He wore a robe that was dipped in blood and His Name is called the Word of God.  (Revelations 19:13).

It was through the Word that God made all things (John 1:1-3). In the fullness of time, the Word of God became flesh and dwelt amongst us. He was given the Divine Name, Jesus (John 1:14).

Look, you are to conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you must name Him Jesus (Luke 1:31).
