Combating idleness with Divine Love
“An idler is like a stone covered in filth, everyone whistles at his disgrace.” Sirach 22:1-2
Today’s Scripture warns us against the danger of becoming idle. Idleness will bring about disgrace. Attaining love for Jesus Crucified is the only means to cast out an idle spirit. When we become aware of what Jesus has done for us, and continues to do for us, we cannot be idle - we will always seek to bear fruit by doing God’s Will.

"To resist every temptation, it is sufficient to pronounce the names of Jesus and Mary; and if the tempation continues, let us continue to invoke Jesus and Mary, and the devil shall never be able to conquer us."
